unique and individual cashmere pieces, embroidered and decorated by hand
By Jeanetta Rowan Hamilton
For the past fifteen years Jeanetta Rowan Hamilton has gathered the finest quality cashmere, whilst sourcing vintage lace, silk ribbons, buttons, sequins, paillettes and applique from brocantes and local markets, all of which come together as Jeanetta mixes and matches to re-invent these exclusive pieces.
Yet hers is not an overnight skill. Having studied pattern cutting at Paris's renowned Ecole Guerre-Lavigne Design School, Jeanetta combines her love of fabrics, masterly dressmaking skills and an innate ability to blend materials and decorations into classic one-offs that can never be emulated.
While Jeanetta's talents have been long admired by a private coterie of couture lovers, it was Mary Berry wearing Nettles Cashmere on the Great British Bake Off that grabbed the viewers attention and when enquiries about her unique cashmere tops came flooding in, the trail led to a Kensington atelier - where vintage cashmere is magically re-born into unique tops by Jeanetta Rowan-Hamilton.
